Growing with Vision

Mary is a lifelong resident of Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend (MOT) and proudly attended Appoquinimink Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade, fostering deep roots within the community. Mary spent many summers working at Filaskys Produce, enjoyed playing MOT soccer, and has witnessed the massive growth and development of the area over time.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she boasts over 14 years of clinical experience, with 8 years devoted to developing, expanding, and leading a non-profit family services division. Her unwavering commitment lies in crafting policies and services deeply entrenched in systemic, culturally aware care for children, youth, and families.

Mary's expertise spans family and organizational systems, program development, leadership, and supervision, as well as community mental health services and outreach. She aspires to bring her wealth of experience and passion for serving communities into a leadership position to the Appoquinimink School Board.

Mary resides in Middletown with her husband Pete and 2 year old daughter Gwen, as well as their 2 rescue dogs- Finnigan and Jack.
